Koehler Fun Soccer Tournament Celebrates 30th Anniversary
The Koehler fun soccer tournament celebrated its 30th year with 15 teams from various departments stepping up to compete with their colleagues and test their sporting mettle. The tournament is as popular as ever and generates a great deal of excitement in the weeks leading up to it.
Kai Furler, CEO of the Koehler Group, and organizer Stephan Schütz, Head of Facility Management at the Koehler Group, welcomed all teams along with their friends, families, and colleagues who came to support them. “I feel right at home here at the Oberkirch Sports Club grounds; this was where I scored my first goals. It's wonderful to see how many teams have come together to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the tournament. What’s particularly fantastic is that all our colleagues remained injury-free through to the last game,” enthused Kai Furler. He also extended his heartfelt thanks to the Oberkirch Sports Club for allowing the tournament to be held on its grounds and for providing referees as well as refreshments.
Anniversary Tournament Together with Family Festival
This year, to mark the 30th anniversary of the Koehler fun soccer tournament, a host of activities were organized alongside for families to take part in. Even little ones could test their skills with a ball in the Koehler Arena, and there was also free ice-cream, a water display by the Koehler company fire brigade, and a bounce house which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The 30th tournament was a great success with all players finishing injury-free. The winning team “Fällt aus” from the supply chain management department at the Oberkirch site took to the winner's podium to raise the trophy and celebrate their win.
